Choose your Own OneCreation
It’s easy, just upload your photo to us and we will process it for carving.
Here are the easy guidelines for choosing your image:
1. Resolution
Quite simply, the better quality image you send us, the better detailed carving you will receive. The bigger the carving, the better the resolution and impact.

2. Contrast
- A good contrast between light and dark make the best carvings.
- Areas which fade out white to the frame look good.

This bride image prints well. The two tone shows a strong contrast with hair and eyebrows, yet keeping a softness for the majority of the V-Carving. Often, less is more.

This bridle photo printed ok, but did not pop out with such vibrance as the above one. The contrast between sand, water and sky is minimal and the bride is smaller as the forward subject.

3. Subject
Quite simply, a photo with 10 people is not as effective as a single subject or couple.
- Family portraits look great in 905 x 605.
- The small 400 x 300 work well for baby photos or smaller pets.
- For the medium 605 x 450, a family of five look like a nice picture; but a single bride, wedding couple or devoted family pet becomes an art piece.
As the V-Carving is professionally framed and carries a slight 3d effect; think of it as being between a professional photo and an artwork. This helps when choosing an image.
4. Size & Framing
- Choose your carving size. (pre-framed)
- Small – 400 x 300
- Medium 605 x 450
- Large 905 x 605
- Choose a frame after the image has been carved.
- Select two or three frames from our collection and we will show your carving recessed in each of them.
- Choose your favourite and we will then fit and ship.
Please note: All our frames are carefully selected to work well with the materials we use. Their colour tones are excellent for our carvings. Choose a frame which you like, but also consider the environment you will be hanging your carving.
